Dr Roser Pons
Biography
Dr. Roser Pons is a pediatric neurologist and faculty member at the
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She works at Agia Sofia
Children’s Hospital, where she is involved in clinical care, teaching, and
clinical research within the Pediatric Neurology Unit. Her main interests
focus on pediatric movement disorders and rare neurogenetic conditions.
She studied medicine at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and
completed her pediatric training at Vall d'Hebron Children's Hospital in
Barcelona. She later specialized in pediatric neurology at Columbia
University in New York, where she also completed a fellowship in movement disorders.
Over the years, Dr. Pons has been involved in the care of children with
complex neurological conditions, especially those with early-onset
movement disorders. She is a member of the International Working Group on Neurotransmitter-related Disorders and participates in collaborative
efforts through the European Reference Network for Rare Neurological
Diseases.
Through her clinical and collaborative work, Dr. Pons aims to support
earlier diagnosis and improved care for children and families affected by
rare neurological conditions.
